I cut the baffle section off and used it for a head pipe for an HD muffler, the baffle in mine is of no signifance, it is almost the same size as the pipe and would rapidly fail the old pencil up the pipe check for a baffle the law enforcement officiers used to use. It is loud as previously stated and sounds like a single HD at idle. I used longer bolts instead of the studs and acorn nuts that were stock, saved them with the orginal headpipe. It is single wall and mine discolored to a true blue quickly all the way the the first heat shield. Max
